This year's Rebellion punk festival held at the Winter Gardens was the most successful one yet.
Nearly 8000 people turned up to see 200 bands over four days at Blackpool's famous Winter Gardens. It was the most tickets sold for the 15 year old festival and the most diverse selection of bands that included great sets from alternative rock legends Killing Joke, top American folk punk Flogging Molly, punk legends the Adicts and the Damned and the UK Subs as well as filled to capacity and riotious receptions for Goldblade and King Blues. With several new younger bands proving that punk in the UK is in rude health and an acoustic set from Ade Edmondson Rebellion proved yet again that the endearing appeal of punk rock never wanes and with already record advance sales for next year's event and the festival planning several European shows it looks set to expand further.
