REBELLION FEST UPDATE

 Rebellion festival returns with its best bill yet! The world's biggest punk festival will be held at  the Blackpool Empress Ballroom on August 5th to 8th. Headliners this year are Gallows, Bad Religion, New York Dolls, Peter Murphy (Bauhaus), Stiff Little Fingers and the King Blues and 150 other legends of punk rock and associated genres...  also this year a brand new event...  Goldblade's JOHN ROBB presents the first Rebellion Literary Festival.  With readings, interviews and conversations with many leading faces from the scene including PETER MURPHY (BAUHAUS), JOHN JOSEPH (CRO MAGS) and others. EXCLUSIVE - Confirmed...... the legendary PENNY RIMBAUD andSTEVE IGNORANT founding members of seminal band CRASS will be doing a ninety minute on stage interview with John. It will be the first time that they have been onstage together at the same time since they played in Crass...    Reflecting five generations of punk the festival sees the stage being shared by legends and founding fathers of the form like the New York Dolls to brand new heros like Gallows. It also sees a key performance from the highly influential Bad Religion, the ever popular Stiff Little Fingers, recent punk rock world cup winners as voted for by the listeners of BBC 6music- the UK Subs, ex Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy, upcoming heroes like King Blues, highly rated high adrenaline punk rock of Goldblade, psychedelic hardcore of Fucked UP, American legends like the Dwarves and hardcore heros Agnostic Front and Cro Mags as well as 150 other bands....   Tickets are selling fast...should be a 6000 sell out this year.  The festival is unique- with three non stop live stages, a brilliant atmosphere, an audience flying in from all over the world. It also has acoustic stages, an art gallery and John Robb's TALK! stage which will feature spoken word, book readings and live in conversation interviews with punk rock legends conducted by Robb himself...
