A new documentary film celebrating fifty years of punk gets its premiere this month, to coincide of the 50th Anniversary of the legendary 100 Club Punk Festival.
Titled - appropriately enough - 50 Years Of Punk, and directed by Mark Sloper - also responsible for recent docs on Sid Vicious and The Skids - the film examines the history of the UK scene, from its explosion on the West London's King's Road through detailed firsthand accounts from some of the scene's key movers, including Dave Vanian, Rat Scabies, Glen Matlock, Vivienne Westwood, Hugh Cornwell, Richard Jobson, Gaye Advert, Viv Albertine, Tony James, Terry Chimes and more.
Released through Screenbound Pictures, the film will be screening at select cinemas around the country from 18th September, but will premiere with a special event at Sheffield's Showroom Cinema on 16th September, featuring a Q&A with Sloper - tickets
