PLAY DEAD FOR PEEL!

PLAY DEAD FOR PEEL!

Goth-rockers PLAY DEAD are to have their sessions for John Peel released on vinyl for the first time.

The Oxford quartet were a ubiquitous presence on goth and post-punk bills during the first half of the 80s, sharing stages with the likes of The Cult, Killing Joke, The Damned, Nick Cave, The Chameleons, The Sisters Of Mercy and more. Releasing four albums, they even managed an appearance on Channel 4's legendary music show, The Tube.

Following on from The Collection best-of compilation released earlier in the year, Jungle Records have brought together the band's Peel sessions in one place.

Set for release on 1 September, John Peel Sessions At The BBC comprises ten tracks from '82 to '84 on limited edition duck-egg blue vinyl.
