PENETRATION singer PAULINE MURRAY continues her tour this week in support of her autobiography Life's a Gamble: Penetration, The Invisible Girls and Other Stories.
Beginning with her childhood in Ferryhill, County Durham, the book follows Murray's travails through the early days of punk with Penetration followed by the Invisible Girls and onwards, to her return to the forefront of the current punk scene in the 21st Century.
“I originally conceived the book to write my story for my children, and I may not have written it without some encouragement," she explains. "But as someone who was involved in the early days of punk and from a small village in the north east rather than London, it’s my story of how our band used our energy, creativity and passion to help propel the punk movement forward in the late 1970s.”
An Evening With Pauline Murray features live readings, acoustic numbers, a Q&A with the artist and a book signing. Remaining dates are...
