SHONEN KNIFE SHONEN KNIFE Double A-side Single & 30th Anniversary UK Tour Shonen Knife will commence a nationwide UK in August to September. Tickets will go on sale at 8am Monday 23 May for their 30th Anniversary Party London show at The Scala, as well as the release of their new Double A-side single ‘Perfect Freedom/P.Y.O.’. From their upcoming European release of their latest LP ‘Free Time’, Shonen Knife take on Bakunin & Kropotkin in ‘Perfect Freedom’ and questions Anarchism and the concept of true freedom in our internet obsessed times. ‘P.Y.O.’ is a playful delight of pop simplicity, inspired when the band visited a ‘pick your own’ farm in Sussex; “Cranberry, Strawberry, Blueberry, Blackberry, Gooseberry, Coffeeberry, Raspberry, Chuck Berry!”, a perfect summer anthem. The single includes the bonus 60's style psychedelicious track 'Evil Birds', previously unreleased in Europe. Available on iTunes, Amazon and all good digital outlets from Monday 23rd May, when you can also buy tickets for the band’s shows in London, Bristol and Nottingham.
