NEW MOVIE ABOUT CBGB

A film that will tell the story of Hilly Kristal, the man who founded legendary New York punk club CBGB, is due to go into production later this month.

The film, co-written and directed by Randall Miller, features Alan Rickman as Hilly Kristal, and Harry Potter star, Rupert Grint as Cheetah Chrome (Rocket From The Tomb / The Dead Boys).

Original artifacts from the actual club, including Kristal's office desk, the cash register, and even the toilets, will feature in the movie.

Other cast members will include, Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins as Iggy Pop, Julian Acosta as Johnny Ramone, and Sting's daughter Mickey Sumner as Patti Smith.

The film is expected to be released later this year.
