It's been announced that THE DAMNED have signed a new record deal with Search And Destroy records, in a joint venture with Spinefarm.
The new deal will see the punk legends release their first new album in nearly a decade. Due to be recorded this summer, it'll be the belated follow-up to 2008's Who's Paranoid?
The news comes as the band resume their hugely successful 40th anniversary trek through the USA and Canada, briefly curtailed after Captain Sensible fell offstage in Toronto, breaking a rib. Forced to postpone 3 shows, they resumed the tour at the legendary Stone Pony club in Asbury Park, New Jersey with a the Captain seated on a toilet throne throughout.
The following day he said, "As movement is a bit awkward currently, I played last night seated, but it all went swimmingly and this epic 40th Anniversary tour is now firmly back on the road. We've played some great venues on the trip... and Asbury Park's Stone Pony is up there with the best of 'em. But I have to say I wish I'd waited till here before backflipping off the stage, as this one was only 3 feet high. D'oh!”
The tour, with THE BELLRAYS in support, continues 'til the end of May, before the band return to Europe for a string of festival dates at....
