Organisers are delighted to announce that British super-producer Naughty Boy will be supporting Kool and The Gang on The Main Stage on Saturday 19th July.  Naughty Boy has, over the last 12 months, become one of the UK’s most sought-after sound creators.  Reintroducing the charts to the sound of garage beats, house and trip-hop, his work also boasts an epic, dramatic, ethereal quality. With a distinctive feel to his compositions, he has won the acclaim of his peers, while the likes of Tinie Tempah, Professor Green, and Emeli Sandé all appear on Naughty’s critically acclaimed debut UK No. 2 album, ‘Hotel Cabana’.

Indie favourites The Enemy are to hit The Main Stage on Sunday 20th July.  With three top ten albums, including the platinum number one "We'll Live And Die In These Towns" - a release which has become the soundtrack for a new disaffected generation - The Enemy have enjoyed a fruitful musical career and have shared a stage with some of the biggest and greatest acts in the world including The Rolling Stones, The Sex Pistols, Oasis, The Manic Street Preachers, Ash, Paul Weller and the mighty Bon Jovi.

Legendary Liverpool band The Farm will be performing on The Main Stage on Saturday 19th July.  Over two decades since their million selling album Spartacus reached No 1 in the UK album charts, The group return to GuilFest for the second time with their original line up to play such classic anthems as ‘All Together Now’ and ‘Groovy Train’.  This band went down a storm in 2012 – you don’t want to miss this chance to see them at GuilFest again!

Hip hop and R&B recording artist, rapper-songwriter, and record producer Ms. Dynamite is confirmed for The Main Stage on Saturday 19th July.  Famous for huge hits such as ‘Dy-Na-Mi-Tee’ and ‘Boo’ and recipient of the Mercury Music Prize, two BRIT Awards and three MOBO Awards, Ms Dynamite is an undisputed heavyweight icon of the UK urban music scene.

Indie rockers Space are to perform on The Good Time Guide Stage on Saturday 19th July.  Drawning influence from ’60s groups such as The Kinks, and combining this with imaginative use of electronic instruments, the band came to prominence in the mid-1990s with hit singles such as "Female of the Species", "Neighbourhood" "Avenging Angels" and "The Ballad of Tom Jones" (on which they worked with Cerys Matthews).  They last performed at GuilFest all the way back in 1998, so organisers cannot wait to see them back at the festival this year.

Also confirmed for GuilFest 2014 this week are Irish folk brothers The Fureys (http://www.thefureys.com) and Mr B. The Gentleman Rhymer (http://www.gentlemanrhymer.com) – both performing Saturday 19th July; indie dance act The Other Tribe (http://www.theothertribe.com/), indie rockers The Jokers, (http://jokerband.co.uk/) both on Friday 18th July; and electronic duo The Correspondents (http://www.thecorrespondents.co.uk/) on Sunday 20th July – All on The Good Time Guide Stage.

The Big Cheese Rock Cave now has singer/songwriter Jamie Lenman (http://www.jamielenman.com/music/) and pop punks Gnarwolves (http://gnarwolves.com/) on Friday 18th July and Sunday 20th July respectively; and The Vive Le Rock Stage has just confirmed london ska outfit Imperial Leisure (https://www.facebook.com/imperialleisure) and ska punks Dirty Revolution (http://www.dirtyrevolution.co.uk/) on Saturday 19th July; and 2 toners Newtown Kings on Sunday 20th July.

As well as all this there are two new huge confirmations on The Kane FM presents Funky End Dance Tent:

Bristol bassheads My Nu Leng (http://www.black-butter.co.uk/my-nu-leng/) on Saturday 19th July and Deep house DJs Mak and Pasteman(https://www.facebook.com/MakandPasteman)  on Friday 18th July.

This year you can catch possibly the most eclectic line up ever at GuilFest, with a fine mix of some of the best live music, comedy and theatre you could possibly hope to see at a festival!  All around the site this year you will find pockets of brilliance, with new and exciting areas such as The Spaced Inn, combined with GuilFest favourites such as La Discotheque, Farmer Giles Barndance, The Acoustic Lounge and much more!

All this, combined with impromptu street performances, food and drink from around the world, great stalls, cocktail bars, our MASSIVE 150’ bar, goes to create one of the most laid back and friendly vibes of any festival ever.  There is even Guildford Lido for outdoor swimming and showers, and Guildford Spectrum leisure centre for indoor swimming and various other activities right next door!
