MARKY RAMONES INSIGHTS AT BIMM

::The Ramones School of Punk Comes to Bristol!::

Marky Ramone took time out of his relentless touring schedule to discuss his 40 year career in an up close and personal fashion with a lucky group of students at the Bristol Institute Of Modern Music. As a legendary rock 'n' roll survivor he talked the students through the importance of developing new tastes, keeping current, considering all of the opportunities that life presents and how to be smart with your money to ensure longevity. Marky also talked about the fascinating early days of punk, meeting Andy Warhol, David Bowie Bowie, Iggy Pop and Lou Reed at iconic CBGB's in the mid 70s. Having played with Richard Hell on the seminal Blank Generation single Marky then reminisced about his punk peers including Blondie, Talking Heads, the New York Dolls, and his 14 year service, 1700 gig tenure as drummer for the Ramones.
