MARKET FORCES!

L.A. post-punks BLACK MARKET HEART have just unveiled a new video and album.

An object lesson in after-hours fuzz minimalism and a masterclass in (we assume) low budget DIY video creation, 'What Happens In The Dark' is the title track from the trio's new album out yesterday, and clocks in at a fat-free one-minute-forty-eight.

Featuring two ex-members of brown acid roustabouts The Lords Of Altamont in guitarist/singer Spencer Robinson and drummer Shawn Medina, plus bassist/singer Tina Brugnoletti, the band recorded the album in just two days at Kitten Robot Studios with L.A. punk vet Paul Roessler, former member of The Screamers and 45 Grave and brother of Black Flag's Kira.

The track, the band say, "is about being desperate for a connection of any kind, and the lengths you’d go to just to make that happen, or at least trick yourself into feeling like it’s happening. The video was shot in Tina’s 1967 Dodge Coronet." Wheels. Serious.

Stream/download 'What Happens In The Dark' here.

Pick up the album from their Bandcamp.
