Fast rising Wiltshire rockers I SEE ORANGE have announced a new single to go with their maiden US dates.
'Wine Boy' follows on from last Autumn's 'Doll Guts', their debut single for UK-based Japanese label JPU Records.
The release comes off the back of appearances at New York's New Colossus Festival and showcases at SXSW in Austin. They follow this with a show at the Moroccan Lounge in LA on 18 March.
Formed in Swindon four years ago, the band comprise transplanted Mexican bassist/vocalist Giselle Medina, guitarist Cameron Hill and drummer Charlie Hart and have cut their teeth at various festivals including Swindon Shuffle, Great Escape and Liverpool Sound City.
“Lyrically, 'Wine Boy' explores the feeling of being in love in a metaphorically 'non-sober' state," say the band. "Intoxicated not just by another person, but by sensation, desire and obsession. The song was born from a sudden fascination with red wine: its deep burgundy color, rich taste, and the ritual of discovering it for the first time. What began as a literal love for the drink quickly transformed into something more imaginative, a love affair where the bottle itself became a character, a ‘boy’, brought to life through metaphor.”
Following their US dates, they'll be hunkering down in Steakhouse Studios to record with producer Philip Broussard (Bad Religion, Rancid, Tommy Stinson).
