MACC LADS ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES!

MACC LADS ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES!

THE MACC LADS tour the UK in October and November In the current edition of Vive Le Rock!, we bring you the full story of Cheshire's foulmouthed finest. Here, in their own words, are five essential tracks to whet your appetite....

MISS MACCLESFIELD
Muttley: “There was a local beauty competition they held until 1985. Just before that, we went to Belgium to play a gig. The Heysel Stadium disaster happened, and the papers were full of it. When we got back, the biggest story in the local paper was, ‘Who Will Be Miss Macclesfield?’ No mention of the squashed Italians! So we wrote a song about it.”

SWEATY BETTY
The Beater: “This one is very popular. Muttley doesn’t even have to sing it live; the crowd does all the work for him.”

ENGLAND’S GLORY
Stez: “I’ve always loved this one. I think it tells a great tale of that particular snapshot in time, about the North/South divide. It’s about a Northern guy going to London and finding it full of foreigners.”

APPRENTICE DENTIST
Muttley: “This one only has two chords in it. And it’s another one of those stories; nowadays it would be called false news. But it’s one we heard about a dentist who put a patient under anesthetic and raped her. Great, eh? It brings a tear to your eye!”

JULIE THE SCHOOLY
Muttley: “This one is pretty true. It’s about pulling a girl and going home with her, and in the morning, I asked her if I could drop her off, and she pointed me to her school. That was a shocker!”
