LIVING END NEWS

THE LIVING END emerged from hibernation but briefly last month, and what a great emergence it was. Coming out in fine form to keep the plentiful crowds warm at the 2010 Community Cup match, The Living End tore through a short set packed with favourites both old and new. The band also jumped headfirst into "The Clash" theme of the match, pulling out a couple of perfectly measured Clash covers, amongst them a truly inspiring cover of London Calling. With a narrow victory for the RRR/PBS Megahertz, a good day was had by all. Photos from the riotous proceedings to be found here. <http://www.fasterlouder.com.au/gallery/17166/19/The-Community-Cup-2010.htm> The Living End were included amongst some of the worlds greatest live acts a couple of weeks back, as Triple J curated their annual Impossible Music Festival. TLE's huge set from the 2006 Port Pirie Triple J One Night Stand was blasting out of radios the country over, and you can blast the highlights for yourself by hitting the Triple J website. <http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/live/latw/sessions/s2935708.htm> For now The Living End are still busy writing for their next album, but trust us when we say there are some things in the works. As always we'll keep you 100% up to date.
