LIVING END-AWARDS

 THE LIVING END are most certainly still toiling away at the new material slated for album #6. And might we say, we like what we're hearing so far! As the band spend more and more time in the rehearsal studio, things are starting to take shape. Stay tuned to the Crucial News to see how The Living End's writing and recording progresses as the year drags on the way it has a tendency to do.  The Living End's Chris Cheney, having scooped up the prestigious peer voted APRA Song of the Year award for White Noise in 2009, he has managed to back it up. The Living End have garnered a huge three nominations in this years awards, in categories for Most Played Australian Work (Raise the Alarm) & Rock Work of the Year (White Noise, Raise the Alarm) The APRA Awards will take place at a ceremony in Sydney in June 21.  The rockin' Community Cup footy match is now just around the corner. With The Living End signed on to play a special half-time set at the annual charity match, the band are set to drop in a few Clash covers to fit in with the theme of this years' match. The event looks to be as successful as ever before, no doubt swarms of Melbourne folk will prepare to brave the elements in the name of footy, rock and a damn fine cause.
