- THE LIVING END -
Aussie punk-rock legends return with single number two “Raise The Alarm” & confirm Reading / Leeds Festival
With single one “White Noise” (a song nominated for a prestigious APRA Music Award for Australian song of the year) still garnering a lot of attention, The Living End return to turn up the heat with single two in the form of the anthemic “Raise The Alarm”.
Taken from the bands fifth studio offering – an album critics described as a manifesto for change; “Rocky punky goodness with sing-able choruses. Great band.” (Guitarist), “Captivating and energetic” (Big Cheese)
Raise The Alarm is a boisterous rock monster and a prime example of a band fully embracing their now tougher sound.
It’s a song that, in Cheney’s own words, looks at the ruthless contradictions of the lives we live; “It’s a harsh reality but it’s the Ying and the Yang that makes life what it is. If everything and everyone was equal then I think it safe to say the world would be in even more of a mess.” (Chris Cheney) and has quickly become a live favourite with fans old and new alike.
The Living End have recently been confirmed to play the main stage at this years Reading & Leeds Festivals alongside the stellar line up of Radiohead, Bloc Party, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend and Brand New.
Whilst gracing these shores the band also play Beautiful Days Festival and Lowlands as well a couple of smaller shows including a date supporting one of the countries favourites Enter Shikari.
