Legendary French rockers LITTLE BOB STORY see their classic ’77 album Off The Rails reissued next month. And to celebrate, their diminutive frontman plays a super-rare London show with his new band LITTLE BOB BLUES BASTARDS at the 100 Club.
Hailing from the French rock’n’roll hub of Le Havre, Little Bob Story – fronted by Italian-born Roberto Piazza – came to the attention of punks, having appeared at the now infamous Mont de Marsan festivals of ’76 and ’77. Their high-energy r’n’b saw them often compared to DR FEELGOOD and the MC5 and earned them a deal with Chiswick Records and later a spot on Phonogram’s ubiquitous red-sleeved New Wave comp.
The Chiswick album Off The Rails was produced by DUCKS DELUXE and TYLA GANG frontman Sean Tyla and engineered by a shredded John Burns immediately after recording the first MOTORHEAD album!
Off The Rails – which is boosted by five tracks recorded live at Dingwalls in 1978 – can be ordered here.
Little Bob Blues Bastards – who are also celebrating the release of a band new album Howlin’ – play the 100 Club on Oxford Street on Tuesday 29 December. Get your tickets here.
