LAST GREAT DREAMERS BACK IN SCHOOL!

LAST GREAT DREAMERS BACK IN SCHOOL!

Rejuvenated rockers LAST GREAT DREAMERS continue their resurgence with a series of dates as special guests to RUNAWAYS legend CHERIE CURRIE next month.
They’ll be celebrating the tour with a brand new single ‘Dope School’ out on CD (with ‘White Light, Black Heart’) and download on 9 November. The release follows on from last year’s rarities compilation Crash Landing In Teenage Heaven.
Prior to the Cherie Currie dates – which represent the former Runaways frontwoman’s first UK tour in 35 years – Last Great Dreamers will be warming up by opening for rock/punk guitar hero BERNIE TORMÉ at The Wheatsheaf in Oxford on 7 November.
Says guitarist Slyder: “It was very important for us to have new material to show that we weren’t just on a nostalgia trip, as until now we have been playing stuff we wrote and recorded in the 90s… We started arranging and working on these songs in the rehearsal studio and the process was so exciting, we really can’t wait to play these songs live”.
Initially releasing their debut album in 1994, Last Great Dreamers were tipped for major success, with a number of support tours and sellout headline shows under their belts. Sadly the collapse of their record deal and a string of personal tragedies forced them to split in ’97.
