Iconic musical catalyst and MEKONS, THREE JOHNS and WACO BROTHERS founder JON LANGFORD is celebrated in a new two-day festival in Manchester this Autumn.
The first ever Langfest will take place over the weekend of 22-23 October at Fred's Ale House, Levenshulme and will feature live performances from both the the Mekons and the the Three Johns, as well as Langford's latest project MEN OF GWENT. Special guest agit-folk troubadour QUIET LONER will also be appearing.
The venue's gallery will also be displaying some of Langford's art over the weekend.
Tickets priced £12 for the weekend of £8 per day go on sale here from 9am on Friday 26 August.
The Mekons release a new album, existentialism, recorded collaboratively with an audience in July last year at the Jalopy Theatre in Brooklyn. The release features a 96-page book including writing and art from the Mekons and friends. Set for release on 1 September through Bloodshot Records, it's available to pre-order here.
