Goth music and culture is to be celebrated in a comprehensive new book due out next year.
A decade in the works, The Art Of Darkness – A History Of Goth by musician and writer John Robb.
Across 680 pages the Membranes and Louderthanwar founder examines the very roots of goth from the fall of Rome, through gothic architecture, folk tales and the Romantic poets to the first stirrings of goth as a musical genre in the late 60s, bringing things right up to date drawing on dozens of new interviews with the likes of Andrew Eldritch, Killing Joke, Bauhaus, The Cult, The Banshees, The Damned, Einsturzende Neubauten, Danielle Dax, Johnny Marr, Trent Reznor, Adam Ant, Laibach, The Cure, Nick Cave and many more.
