Burning Your House Down/Elemental is a taster from the follow up to the Jim Jones Revue’s critically acclaimed self titled debut album which will be released next year.  The tracks are also  included on  “Here To Save Your Soul” which is a mini album collection all the JJR singles to date released for the first time in physical format on CD and vinyl by Punk Rock Blues Records on 5 October. Live The Jim Jones Revue  are an astonishing phenomenon and have been described as James Brown fronting the MC5 with Little Richard guesting  on piano! The JJR kick off the tour and unleash their  supercharged rock’n’roll maelstrom   on Friday 18 September and career off on 12 action packed dates in the UK and Ireland. Every date is going to see rock’n’roll shaped holes blown through the roofs of unsuspecting venues as the JJR play their first shows in Bristol, Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, Glasgow, Derry, Belfast (at the Open House Festival with Joe Gideon & The Shark and Andrew Weatherall), Cork and finally drawing the tour to a close at the holy grail of British R’n’B AKA Southend-On-Sea on Saturday 3 October.  The ‘Revue also re-visit Dublin and Brighton as part of the tour and return to play their first show in London since June at NTSOBC @ Cargo in Shoreditch on Thursday 1 October. “Burning Your House Down” and “Elemental” is a brand new double AA side single that see’s The Jim Jones Revue firing on all five super charged cylinders. Burning Your House kicks off with a jerky stop-start backwards  rockabilly rhythm before exploding into life as Jim Jones roars “There aint no smoke without fire! “ and the track careers off into a car crash of barrel house piano, out of control feedback and Jim Jones’s lecherous vocal  demanding “I’m burning your house down to let you know I’m still around………….”. Elemental erupts with a Chuck Berry riff dragged from hell before blasting into what sounds like an unholy alliance of the deranged sons of Detroit jamming on the bones of The Georgia Peach and then spinning out into a free jazz freak out reminiscent of The Birthday Party….. These two tracks are tasters  of the new JJR album to be released next year. They also feature on “Here To Save Your Soul”, a mini album which is released by Punk Rock Blues Records on October 5. Hear To Save Your Soul collects all the JJR singles to date on physical format (CD & vinyl) for the very first time.  The album features Rock’n’Roll Psychosis, Big Hunk O Love, Cement Mixer, Good Golly Miss Molly, Princess & The Frog, Freak of Nature and  the afore mentioned Burning Your House Down and Elemental. Basically, if you want to rock a party till the foundations cave in, put this album on repeat and watch your house collapse! The Jim Jones Revue released their debut self titled album just under a year ago to critical acclaim and 2009 has proved to be an incredible year for London based powerhouse quintet.  Among many highlights was a sold out show at the historic 100 Club in London in June which saw scores of unlucky punter turned away as the venue was filled to bursting point with a queue stretching down Oxford Street to Tottenham Court Road tube station.  The JJR have also played live sessions on radio shows for Mark Lamarr, Marc Riley, Tom Robinson and Steve Lamacq has been a huge fan. In fact after coming to The 100 Club show Steve was so moved he made an extraordinary five minute public broadcast on his Six Music Radio show the next day and demanded Jack White offer the JJR a support slot on whatever project he had touring! In the UK The Jim Jones Revue have developed a strong word of mouth fan base whose  more well known converts include Mick Jones, Tony James, Bobby Gillespie, Noel Gallagher,  Mark Lamarr,  Steve Lamacq, Jim Scalvanos, Jon Spencer, Marc Riley, Bob Harris, Tom Robinson  and Gem Archer among many others. The JJR return to France in October for a three week headlining tour including a show at the 800 capacity La Trabendo in Paris. .
