IT'S A FAIR COOP!

IT'S A FAIR COOP!

The highly fertile 80s Sydney scene has spawned JOEYS COOP, who've just dropped a new video ahead of a new album.

The band was formed over a decade ago by guitarist Brett Myers of the legendary Died Pretty and frontman Mark Roxburgh of contemporaries Decline Of The Reptiles. They're joined by bassist Marc Lynch from 90s janglers Glide and Perry Keyes' drummer Lloyd Gyi.

Previously signed to the pioneering Citadel label, the band have struck out on their own for third album Sawdust Memories, which is preceded by the video for the single 'In The Pines' - another significant Aussie reference!

The band cite such influences as the Stones, the Velvets, Big Star, melodic pop and alternative country, but crucially, fans of Died Pretty and Decline Of the Reptiles shouldn't be disappointed...

Out on 3 July, Sawdust Memories is available to pre-order here.

The band are playing a series of local dates. Check 'em out on their Facebook.
