Jobson, now a filmaker, will shoot 'Into The Valley' with fellow Fifer Dougray Scott.
It will be set mainly in Fife, following the return of a young soldier who has seen his comrades killed in Afghanistan.
Jobson said, "Dougray is desperate to do it because he wants to make a film in Fife. He totally believes in what i'm trying to do with it".
He hopes to start shooting the film in April.
