Berlin-based rockers MAGGOT HEART have unveiled another new video from their forthcoming new album.
'The Shadow' is the second single the be taken from HUNGER, the trio's third album which is out through Rapid Eye and Svart on 29 September.
"This song is both melancholic and euphoric, sometimes you don't know if you're feeling one or the other,” explains singer/guitarist Linnéa Olsson of the single. “I actually had Courtney Love in mind, as in I wanted to write a chorus she would be proud of! Maybe someone can play it to her and let us know? Either way, I think it's kind of an undeniable song, very simple on the surface but quite complex underneath.
"The video was created by the absolute visionary Tekla Vali during some early hours in Helsinki. Tekla is really skilled in creating a unique world where her visual language speaks in tongues. And she made us look pretty cool, too."
HUNGER is available to pre-order now from Svart and Bandcamp.
Maggot Heart play a handful of dates in Poland and Germany before heading off on tour across the US alongside Messa, after which they arrive in London for a one-off show at The Black Heart on 11 November. Full dates are...
