Swiss-based rock'n'rollers THE HILLBILLY MOON EXPLOSION are hitting the road next month for a string of UK dates.
The tour kicks off at Derby's Hairy Dog on 14 May, hitting the capital on 22 May at the 229 Club. Full dates below...
And as if that wasn't enough to keep them busy, two members have been engaging in extramural activities.
Bassist/singer Oliver Baroni has formed THE BARONI BLOW-UP with psychobilly guitar legend Andy Kandil (Mad Sin, The Highliners, Zorchmen), drummer Tuck Nelson and Long Beach jazz and blues singer Shy But Flyy.
Their debut single, recorded at Nelson's London studio, features a cover of 'I Wanna' by Berlin punkabillies Hot Boogie Chillun, backed with Shy But Flyy's own 'Free'. Set for digital release on 15 May, a limited edition 7" will be available from the merch table on HME's coming dates.
Meanwhile, singer Emanuela Hutter has recently released a solo album Goose Bumps, with Chicago-based producer/bassist Jimmy Sutton (JD McPherson, Daddy Long Legs, Pokey LaFarge), guitarist Joe Patterson and drummer Alex Hall.
Goose Bumps is available here.
