HEX EDUCATION!

THE FALL have one of the most significant periods in their 40+ year history celebrated this Autumn with a new box set.

The year of 1982 saw Mark E Smith's Manchester marauders release one of the most critically regarded albums in Hex Enduction Hour. Recorded in Hitchin and Iceland, the album - their debut for Kamera records - was the band's fourth full-length release, and saw the arrival of the band's two-drummer line-up featuring Paul Hanley and Karl Burns. Released in March of that year, the album was followed quickly that September by Room To Live.

The third release in Cherry Red's deluxe Fall Sound Archive reissue series, the six-disc set 1982 brings together both these albums, plus the live album In A Hole, recorded in Auckland, New Zealand that year and released through Flying Nun in 1983.

The rest of the set comprises further tracks from Auckland, a live set from The Prince Of Wales, Melbourne on the same tour, plus soundcheck recordings, singles and a four-song Peel Session.

Set for release on 25 October, 1982 is available to pre-order here.

At the same time, Cherry Red are issuing a deluxe triple-vinyl edition of Hex Enduction Hour and a double-vinyl version of Room To Live, both on limited edition coloured vinyl.
