Former JIM JONES REVUE piano-pounder HENRI HERBERT is headlining London's infamous Gypsy Hotel club night this weekend. And he and his band will be using the occasion to record their debut album completely live!
Says Henri, "I've brought in Jim Jones to help with the production as he knows how a piano is supposed to sound - LOUD AND DIRTY!!"
Taking place at Bones & Pearl Studios, Markfield Road, London N15 on Saturday 6 May, also appearing on the bill at Gypsy Hotel's Springtime Ball are Spaghetti-western-abilly songstress SARAH VISTA and her band, plus the Queen of Alternative Burlesque, VIVID ANGEL. Your host PAUL-RONNEY ANGEL from THE URBAN VOODOO MACHINE, will be kicking the night off with an exclusive acoustic set, accompanied by violin goddess MLLE CHAT NOIR, playing their unique blend of gypsy blues country jazz.
All this will be topped up by some great tunes courtesy of legendary tour DJ for THE CLASH, THE POGUES and more, DJ SCRATCHY.
And as if that wasn't enough, there's a FREE shot of bourbon to the first fifty lucky souls through the door!
