GRINDERMAN NEWS

Grinderman will appear in a Channel 4 documentary about the Exit Festival filmed at the Petrovaradin Fortress, Novi Sad in Serbia in July 2011. The documentary (broadcast tonight, Monday 1st/ 2nd Aug on Channel 4 at 00.30) features a fierce live rendition of the song “Love Bomb” from their debut album.

Grinderman’s ferociously triumphant set at Alexandra Palace on 24th July rounded up a string of European summer festival appearances. Grinderman have now announced two headlining festival dates for Australia: Homebake Music Film and Arts Festival on 3rd December (http://www.homebake.com), followed by a Meredith Music Festival on the 10th December (www.mmf.com.au).

Grinderman won the much-coveted Song of the Year award at the MOJO Honours event on 21st July for their song “Heathen Child”, the first single off Grinderman 2. Their third single, “Palaces Of Montezuma” (released earlier this year) was used on the final episode of the TV crime drama Luther.

There are now three songs online from Grinderman live-in-the-studio session filmed at London’s RAK Studios last year by British artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard. “Kitchenette” is the latest to be uploaded, and you can see all three at these links:
