Green Day Document mammoth Œ21st Century Breakdown¹ world tour with the release of new live album and DVD ŒAwesome As F**k¹ on March 21st on Reprise Records ³Only the most expansive and confident of bands can make shows of the scale of tonight¹s gathering feel not merely like a gig, but an actual event. Green Day, of course, do this better than anyone you care to name.² Kerrang! ³A ferocious live showŠ The melodic Boulevard of Broken Dreams and 21 Guns were great stadium moments, yet Green Day were just as effective when drawing on more ragged tunes from their early days.² The Evening Standard ³The vast crowd was immediately galvanised into action singing, shouting, shoving and shunting - an exultant display of high spirits that was maintained throughout a performance lasting just short of three hours.² The Times Green Day¹s 2009-2010 Œ21st Century Breakdown¹ tour proved to be one of the most dazzling and memorable live events of recent years. It saw the trio conquer all corners of the globe and included incendiary UK dates at Wembley Stadium, Manchester¹s Lancashire County Cricket Ground and Glasgow¹s SECC. The band¹s explosive performances and captivating energy from the tour have been captured in their new live album and DVD ŒAwesome As F**k¹ that will be released on March 21st on Reprise Records. Green Day recorded every show on the Œ21st Century Breakdown¹ tour. When it concluded, vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt, and drummer Tre Cool sifted through the audio to deliver the best performances from their shows around the world. The final tracklisting includes a performance each from the Wembley, Manchester and Glasgow shows, as well as other songs captured at venues ranging from Dublin to Japan. In addition, ŒAwesome As F**k¹ also includes a sixteen-track DVD that was filmed in Tokyo. No song performances have been replicated on both the album and the DVD.
