Greek punks THE OVERJOYED have just unveiled a new single from their forthcoming fourth album.
The release of 'Rotten Love' comes just days before the Athens quartet opens for Green Day at their hometown's Ejekt Festival on 6 July.
Describing it as "the first time I’ve written something this deep and personal about love," frontman Leo Overjoyed says “I could not wait for this song to come out. It’s really cathartic for me… putting it out in the world makes me feel vulnerable, but also somehow relieved.”
Releasing their debut EP in 2011, The Overjoyed have earned their status as one of Greece's DIY punk reliables over the past decade-and-a-half, with shows across Europe including a string of UK dates this Spring. If the wild scenes at April's Punk Against Captialism Benefit are anything to go by, the boys from Rodeo CA will have their work cut out!
