THE FUTURE SHAPE OF SOUND return with a brand new single and video which they're premiering with Vive Le Rock!
'Oh Mama' is a taster for the band's forthcoming new album and follows on from last year's 'I'd Rather Be Alone'. Featuring Tomirae Brown on vocals, the video is the work of the intriguingly named The Barron Of JuxtaConcept.
"Lyrically it deals with things gone wrong on a personal level as well as globally, touching on themes of Imperialism and cultural division, created by world leaders," say the band. "This is juxtaposed with the wisdom of Mama Universe that we sadly tend to misinterpret, except for the advice that everything ends anyway and you might as well join a band..."
A rip-roaring reliable draw at such festivals as Glastonbury, Boomtown, Camp Bestival and Womad, the band are set to tear up Red Rooster next weekend with a couple of London shows lined up for the coming months. Full dates are...
Fri 30th May - Red Rooster Festival 6pm
Sat 5th July - London, Forest Gate Festival 5pm
Sat 1st Nov - London, Magic Garden Battersea
Released through Gypsy Hotel Records, 'Oh Mama' is available through all the usual digital platforms.
