THE PSYCHEDELIC FURS have announced another round of UK dates for the Autumn.

Based in the USA for some years, the dates in October continue the band's renewed homeland activity, which has seen them visit the UK for three years running, and included an appearance at last year's Meltdown, hosted by THE CURE's Robert Smith.

Formed by the Butler brothers Richard and Tim in Surrey in 1977, the band went on to become one of the most influential of UK post-punk bands, particularly in the US, where their song 'Pretty In Pink' inspired a successful movie of the same name. All the band's original albums were reissued on vinyl last year. Rumours persist of a new album in the works, their first since 1991's World Outside.

Kicking off in Manchester on 1 October, the tour culminates with a show at London's legendary Roundhouse. Support on all dates comes from the new band formed by former TRANSVISION VAMP singer Wendy James. Full dates are...
