First lady of 80s Mod, FAY HALLAM is to release a new solo album next month.
Corona sees Fay return to Blow Up Records and is preceded by a single ‘Se Me Ami’.
Mostly written during a two-day session following a tour of Italy, the album nods towards a number of the singer and keyboardist's influences, including ASTRUD GILBERTO, CARLOS JOABIM, THE CARPENTERS and BECK.
Fay will be celebrating the release with more Italian dates, followed by gigs in the UK to be announced shortly.
Corona will be available on CD, vinyl and download and can be pre-ordered here.
Coming to prominence with Stiff-signed Wolverhampton band MAKIN’ TIME in the mid-80s, Fay has worked with numerous artists including THE PRIME MOVERS, BILLY CHILDISH, GRAHAM DAY and others from the Medway scene, as well as fronting THE FAY HALLAM TRINITY.
