Lancashire DIY psych twosome THE LOVELY EGGS are back with a brand new single and video.
The pair's first new music in four years, 'My Mood Wave' is the first single to be taken from their as-yet-untitled forthcoming new album.
"'My Mood Wave' is kind of an internal thought monologue," says singer and guitarist Holly. “It's a brain on a surfboard, trying to navigate the barrage of daily shit that gets washed up each day. It's a coping mechanism handbook for people who sometimes find the world too much.”
Co-produced by the Eggs and Flaming Lips' produced Dave Fridmann, the album was recorded at their bass in Lancaster before heading to Fridmann's studio in New York for mixing. The first fruit of the labours, 'My Mood Wave' will be followed by the new album in May.
Available now from all the usual digital platforms, the single will also be available as a limited edition aquamarine vinyl 7", with the first 250 orders from the band's website receiving a free Lovely Eggs air freshener. Pre-order here.
