Eastpak Antidote tour

October 2009
Featuring
Alexisonfire      Anti-Flag
The Fall Of Troy
The Ghost Of A Thousand

The Eastpak Antidote tour is back in October and will be headlined by Alexisonfire and Anti Flag, plus will feature great new bands The Fall Of Troy and The Ghost Of A Thousand.
The Juno-award winning ALEXISONFIRE (pronounced ‘Alexis-on-fire’) will release their fourth full-length disc Old Crows/Young Cardinals on June 22nd. This is the St. Catharines, Ontario-based quintet’s follow-up to Platinum-selling album Crisis which debuted at #1 on the Top 200 Soundscan Chart in Canada.  Their music is characterized by turbulent and explosive dynamics with intricate guitar melodies. Alexisonfire will perform at the UK’s Reading/Leeds festivals, preceded by 3 intimate sold-out London headline dates June 9 -11.
Anti-Flag released their seventh full-length album (and first on Side One Dummy), “The People or the Gun”, June 8th and it starts off fast and furious with “Sodom, Gomorrah, Washington D.C. (Sheep in Shepherd’s Clothing)” as Chris #2 takes aim at those who use the Bible to control the masses, spitting out the lyrics with an urgency that makes his voice crack. If the album’s second track, “The Economy is Suffering…Let It Die,” isn’t nearly as reckless, it’s just as impassioned, recalling the more melodic moments on those first two albums by The Clash. Before they’re through, in fact, they’ve fired off a number of their most explosive political broadsides from the punk-rock trenches yet. Anti-Flag will have a local Emmaus shelter involved at each show. Visit them at www.emmaus.org.uk
