DIRTY WATER RECORDS' BUNKER MENTALITY!

DIRTY WATER RECORDS have announced the signing of teenage tearaways ARCHIE & THE BUNKERS with an album release planned for the autumn.
Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, this frighteningly young duo comprise Cullen O’Connell (14) on keys and vocals and Emmett O’Connell (16) on drums and vocals. They play what they call Hi-Fi Organ Punk – which Emmett describes as, “rock’n’roll that’s been peeled back to its raw foundation” – and cite influences from jazz organ legend Jimmy Smith to The Stooges and The Dead Boys.
Check out the video for ‘I’m Not Really Sure What I’m Gonna Do’ and you’ll get the general idea.
Recording their first two EPs in their basement, they upped sticks to Ghetto Recorders in Detroit to lay down their debut full-length with renowned producer Jim Diamond. It’s earmarked for release on Dirty Water at the end of September. Dates to follow.
