Notorious Texan punks THE DICKS have their story told in a new documentary film out on DVD next month.
Formed after flamboyant local celebrity Gary Floyd returned to Austin after seeing THE SEX PISTOLS in San Francisco, The Dicks became to support band of choice for every touring punk band.
In a career lasting nearly four years, the band released two albums Live At Raul's and Kill From The Heart featuring classic tracks like 'Bourgeois Fascist Pig', 'Dead in a Motel Room' and 'Dicks Hate the Police'.
Directed by Cindy Marabito, The Dicks From Texas features contributions from all four members of the band, plus interviews with Henry Rollins, Mike Watt, Ian McKaye, David Yow, Texas Terri and more. The DVD also includes thirty minutes of never-before-seen prime live Dicks!
Released on 12 alongside a tribute CD, The Dicks From Texas And Friends, the DVD is available for pre-order here.
