SIMPLE MINDS have announced a brand new double-live album ahead of a string of Summer dates.
Live In The City Of Diamonds is the final episode in a triptych of Live In The City releases that began with '87's No.1 album Live In The City Of Light followed by Live In The City Of Angels, released in 2019.
Recorded during the Glasgow legends' sold-out show at Amsterdam's 17,000-capacity Ziggo Dome in April last year, the band's set covers the best of their career including their biggest hits 'Don’t You (Forget About Me)', 'Alive And Kicking' and 'Belfast Child', revisiting their first hit album Sons And Fascination and international breakthrough New Gold Dream, bringing things right up to date with tracks from their most recent release, 2022's Direction Of The Heart.
Released in an 18-track double-vinyl edition (black or clear/glitter) and 24-track 2xCD 24-page media book, the album underlines the band's role as a continuing live phenomenon, having performed before approximately a million people in the last year alone.
Set for release on 25 April through BMG, Live In The City Of Diamonds is available to pre-order here.
