Coinciding with the return of THEATRE OF HATE, Cherry Red Records are to reissue an expanded version of their classic debut studio album.
With the newly minted Kinshi, the band's first new album in 34 years, set for release this month, Westworld is being reissued as a deluxe 3-CD set in November.
Put together by Kirk Brandon from the ashes of punk band THE PACK, Theatre Of Hate were completed by bassist Stan Stammers, sax-player John 'Boy' Lennard, guitarist Steve Guthrie an drummer Luke Rendle. Debuting with the live album He Who Dares Wins (Live At Leeds Warehouse), the band recorded Westworld with THE CLASH's Mick Jones in the producer's chair, before being joined by future CULT members Billy Duffy and Nigel Preston. Reaching No.17 in the album chart, Westworld also spawned the anthemic Top 40 single 'Do You Believe In The Westworld'.
Unavailable on CD for many years, Westworld has been newly remastered and expanded to include single B-sides, previously unreleased John Peel sessions, a unique Top Of The Pops recording of their hit, alternative mixes and a bonus live disc featuring a previously unissued recording of a show from the Westworld tour..
Released on 25 November, it's available to pre-order here.
