CREEPERS CRAWL OUT OF THE WOODWORK!

CREEPERS CRAWL OUT OF THE WOODWORK!

Aussie 80s contenders THE HUXTON CREEPERS are reforming to celebrate the reissue of their classic debut album.

The Melbourne school-leavers first formed in 1982, becoming the go-to support band for the likes of the Hoodoo Gurus, the Sunnyboys and The Saints.

Following the Gurus to Big Time Records, they released their Rob Younger-produced debut single 'The Murderess' in '85, the first of a string of classic singles, followed by their first full-length 12 Days To Paris in 1986, as well as an appearance on the UK-only Countdown Records comp, Party At Hanging Rock. The following year saw mainstream chart success with their cover of Manfred Mann's 'Pretty Flamingo'.

"We went from seeing bands like The Gurus, The Saints and Sunnyboys whenever they toured Melbourne to opening for them all in a blink of an eye," recalls drummer Arch Law. "We were having so much fun and it seemed we got better with every gig as the crowds grew with every gig."

The band followed their debut with So This Is Paris in '88 and Small Mercies in 1990 before splitting. The band have reformed periodically over the years, playing reunion shows with the likes of The Stems and the Sunnyboys.

To celebrate its 40th Anniversary, 12 Days To Paris will see its first ever vinyl reissue on Cheersquad Records - get it here.

The band embark on a reunion tour of Australia in August. Full dates below....
