CLASH DEBUT CELEBRATED IN EAST LONDON!

On the 40th Anniversary of its release, THE CLASH's iconic debut album is being celebrated with a special event in London.
Clash Night '77 brings together music, poetry and discussion in celebration of a landmark release in UK punk.
Taking place at Rich Mix, 35-47 Bethnal Green Road on Satuday 8 April, the event has been put together by Philosophy Football in association with the RMT union.
The night is set to open with a panel discussion, featuring authors Daniel Rachel (The Walls Come Tumbling Down) and Dave Randall (Sound System: The Political Power Of Music); Rock Against Racism founders Red Saunders and Roger Huddle; writer, artist and sometime Clash manager Caroline Coon; ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION's Pandit G, and former music journalist Ngaire Ruth of Loud Women.
Side 2 of The Clash will be performed 'as was' by 48 THRILLS - featuring Steve North from the stage play Meeting Joe Strummer - while Side 2 will be recreated by SEAN McGOWAN, NIA WYN, JOE SOLO, EMILY HARRISON and DREAM NAILS.
The night will be headlined by CAPTAIN SKA, with sets during the evening from ATTILA THE STOCKBROKER, JANINE BOOTH, COMRADE X and THE LONE GROOVER, ranting verse from POETRY ON THE PICKET LINE and the Rock Against Racism photography of Syd Shelton.
Tickets for the event are £9.99 with discounts for multiple bookings. They're available here.
