GREEN ON RED legend CHRIS CACAVAS flies in for a pair of rare UK dates next week.
As well as being keyboard-player on all the Tucson-via-LA band's classic recordings up to 1987, Cacavas was a major figure on the 80s 'paisley underground' scene, working with GIANT SAND, THE DREAM SYNDICATE, TRUE WEST and NAKED PREY, eventually forming his own band JUNKYARD LOVE.
Based in Germany for some years, in 2013 Cacavas collaborated with Edward Abbiati of Italian roots-rock stars LOWLANDS, resulting in the album Me And The Devil on Harbour Song Records.
Check out the video for 'Back Against The Wall'.
This year they pair hooked up again to play live with a bespoke backing band THE DIRTY DEVILS, featuring bassist Joe Barreca, drummer Andrea Paradiso and Italian blues guitar legend Maurizio 'Gnola' Glielmo.
Unfortunately, Abbiati has had to bow out for health reasons, but Cacavas and the Devils are going ahead with the dates at....
Fri 14 July - Railway Hotel, Southend-on-Sea, Essex
Sat 15 July – Ex-Servicemen’s Club, Leytonstone, London
They'll be joined by THE LUCKY STRIKES on both dates, plus BOB COLLUM in Southend and HAWK SOOLD of PLASTIC PALS in London.
