Massively influential psych-rockers THE BEVIS FROND celebrate 30 years with an all-day event in East London next month.
This Corner Of England is taking place at London Fields Brewhouse, Hackney from 4pm 'til 11pm on Sunday 28 May and features sets from THE GROUNDHOGS (RHYTHM SECTION), WRECKLESS ERIC, THE JAZZ BUTCHER and SWELL MAPS founder JOWE HEAD AND HIS INFERNAL CONTRAPTION with more to be confirmed.
Tickets priced £20 are available here.
Founded by, and for a long time identified solely with, guitarist, singer and songwriter Nick Saloman, while gigs have been notably rare, the band have earned a solid fanbase and influenced the likes of TEENAGE FANCLUB, DINOSAUR JR and EVAN DANDO. With a line-up completed by former HAWKWIND bassist Adrian Shaw, guitarist Paul Simmons (also of THE CRAVATS) and drummer Dave Pearce, the Frond have been particularly active of late with three new albums in quick succession and a comprehensive reissue programme through Fire Records.
