ANTI-PASTI RISE AGAIN!

ANTI-PASTI RISE AGAIN!

Second wave UK punk stalwarts ANTI-PASTI return next month with their first new album in 35 years!
First formed in 1978, the Derbyshire quartet rose quickly, earning a front cover of Sounds magazine, supporting UK SUBS on their Diminished Responsibility tour and the now legendary Apocalypse Now tour with THE EXPLOITED, DISCHARGE, VICE SQUAD, CHRON GEN and ANTI-NOWHERE LEAGUE, helping to kickstart the UK82 scene. Their tracks 'Another Dead Soldier' and 'No Government' are rightly considered late period punk classics.
Blessed with a constantly shifting line-up, the band split in 1983 but returned in 2012 to play Rebellion. Now signed to Westworld Recordings, the band - featuring long-serving drummer Kevin Nixon and guitarist Ollie Hoon, along with bassist Ben Hanson and frontman Gez Addictive - are set to release Rise Up on 5 August, coinciding with another Rebellion appearance.
Says Nixon, "We are thrilled to be invited into the Westworld stable, home to such pedigree as CHELSEA, THE RUTS and CHRON GEN. Our new album has the spirit and intensity of the eighties balanced with a more experienced attitude…..without doubt our best to date, and there`s more to come."
