AIRBOMB HELP SAVE SKATEPARK!

AIRBOMB HELP SAVE SKATEPARK!

East London punks AIRBOMB return with a new single raising money for a good cause....

A blistering anthem for those fighting to keep old-age at bay, all proceeds from 'Snipers Alley' will go to the Rom Skatepark in Hornchurch.

Built in 1978 during the first skateboarding explosion, the park was one of the few to remain open while popular London parks like Skate City and Mad Dog Bowl were bulldozed and built on, and consequently has been integral to the continuation of the skate, and later, BMX scenes in East London and South Essex. Awarded Grade II listing in 2014, the park has been dogged by mismanagement, but has recently been saved from closure.

Formed in 1996 and influenced by Ramones, Motorhead, Misfits and
Discharge, Airbomb released their debut album in 1998 to wide praise. Regulars on the London punk circuit, they shared stages with the likes of Sick On The Bus, The Restarts, The Business and loads more.

All veterans of the original Rom scene (original drummer Dave is an instructor), the band have reformed to record 'Snipers Alley' to raise money for the park. All funds raised will go towards repairs and park improvements, schools and community outreach projects, youth projects, classrooms, community spaces, equipment and safety equipment, training and employment opportunities.

The video features all local skaters and BMXers.
