ADRENALIN RUSH THE U.K!

ADRENALIN RUSH THE U.K!

After four decades at the coalface of US hardcore, New Jersey legends ADRENALIN O.D. are set to hit the UK.

Vive Le Rock head honcho Eugene Butcher caught up with the band ahead of their first ever UK shows and Rebellion festival appearance next week.

Your'e finally playing the U.K! Are you excited?

We are very excited to play the UK. This is the third time that we've attempted it. Once in '87 and then more recently, the year Covid happened. Third time's the charm.

What are you looking forwrad to in the UK most? The food? The beer?

All of the above. Also, it would be nice to be in a place that has so much history. Especially the music history. For a lifelong punk rocker like me going to England is like a kid going to a candy store.

Did you know that Blackpool is kind of the ugly equivalent of Atlantic City?

I am aware of Blackpool. You won't see me in the water. I think Atlantic City may be a little trashier.

What sort of set and songs can we expect?

I was outvoted on doing all Abba covers. We are doing a good balance of songs from all of our records with an emphasis on wacky hijinks and humongous fungus among us. We came to thrash and we're not playing around.

Who are you looking forward to seeing at Rebellion festival?

If I get a chance to see The Undertones I will be very happy. Bucket list and for me, it's always great to see The Damned and the Circle Jerks as well. I'm also looking forward to seeing some of my friends' bands who are also on Rebellion fest like the Kowalskis, Round Eye from China, and The Attack from Florida.

Whats your favourite sit com? Favourite comedian? Don Rickles?

Favorite sitcom would be It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I really like awkward dark humour. Favorite comedians from the past Don Rickles and Rodney Dangerfield, from the present Anthony Jeselnik and Dave Attell.
