ADE EDMONDSON-BAD SHEPHERDS IN LONDON

ACOUSTIC AFTER HOURS with. ADRIAN EDMONDSON and THE BAD SHEPHERDS with special guest Ella Edmondson East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf Wednesday 28th April 2010 Punk Celtic-style will be the order of the day on Wednesday 28th April when Adrian Edmondson and The Bad Shepherds take to the stage at the East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf. Their special guest will be Ade's daughter, the fabulously talented singer/songwriter Ella Edmondson. The Bad Shepherds are: Adrian Edmondson (vocals, 'thrash mandolin') - Ade is best known as a comic actor in The Young Ones, Bottom and The Comic Strip Presents, although he's no stranger to the music world, having played the Monsters of Rock and Reading Festivals with Bad News, the Hootenanny with Jools Holland, Hyde Park with The Who and he's toured with The Bonzo Dog Doo-dah Band. Together The Bad Shepherds plays punk songs on folk instruments; not as a gag but because they really like the noise and they love folk instruments. It works. They perform songs by The Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers, The Jam, Sham 69, The Undertones, The Ramones, The Buzzcocks, The Specials, Talking Heads, Squeeze plus others, even Kratftwerk. Not all are strictly punk, of course, but they all come from roughly the same era when Ade Edmondson was a teenager. Daughter of Adrian Edmondson and Jennifer Saunders, Ella Edmondson's debut album Hold Your Horses met with much critical acclaim on its release in 2009. Never shy of a performance, and eager to grasp opportunities, Ella has toured up and down the UK many times, appearing at festivals and halls, big and small - consistently achieving rave reviews and building up an ever-growing army of loyal fans.
