A PAGAN PLACE!

A PAGAN PLACE!

Punk-blues one-woman-band ELLI DE MON returns with a new video which she's premiering with Vive Le Rock!

The haunting, Gothic 'Pagan Blues' is the title track from her new album which follows on from her widely praised Countin' The Blues, her evocation of the female delta blues queens of the 1920s, from 2021, which was accompanied her first book.

“This video was made in a cave close to my home," Elli explains. "I feel it, my music is strongly influenced by this place. It holds a sense of mystery and history, as if it had been witness to secrets and stories of generations long gone."

Haling from the Italian city of Vicenza, and accompanying herself on rezophonic guitar, drums, bells and occasionally sitar, Elli has released seven albums over the last decade and has shared stages with the likes of The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Reverend Beatman, Cedric Burnside, James Leg and most recently Nick Olivieri. Following the success of her previous her album, she was even asked to record an exclusive session for BBC Radio 4's flagship magazine programme Loose Ends.

A respected author, Elli has also just published her second book Settimana Della Banana, a book about The Velvet Underground aimed at young adults.

Set for release through Area Pirata Records on 9 June, Pagan Blues is available to pre-order here.
