MEKONS founder JON LANGFORD journeys from his home base of Chicago to the UK next month for a flurry of live activity.
Langford reconvenes his Thatcher-baiting 80s trio THE THREE JOHNS for a live session with Marc Riley on BBC 6 Music on 2 February, before playing HOME, Manchester on 3 Feb at the opening of a new exhibition by fellow Three John, John Hyatt.
The band then play The Continental, Preston on 4 Feb, with EL HOMBRE TRAJEADO and THE GREAT LEAP FORWARD, followed by a show at The Bluecoat, Liverpool on 9 Feb.

Langford then heads south for three dates with his Newport-based project, THE MEN OF GWENT. The band, who also feature members of GIVE ME MEMPHIS AND 80s janglers THE DARLING BUDS, have recorded and gigged sporadically over the past two decades, finally issuing their debut album The Legend Of LL in 2015 through Country Mile.
The Men Of Gwent play The Islington, Tolpuddle Street, London N1 on Friday 10 February. They'll be joined by Socialist r'n'b collective THEE FACTION and former CHUMBAWAMBA member and current INTERROBANG frontman DUNSTAN BRUCE. Get tickets here.
They they then return to their homeland for a gig at Le Pub, Newport on Saturday 11 Feb, before winding up at Ynysddu Progressive Club, Caerphilly on Sunday 12 Feb.
