Portobello Film Festival presents an evening with Joe Strummer’s original star musician Alvaro


UK’s largest independent film festival to screen documentary about the famous musician Alvaro, also known as ‘The Chilean With The Singing Nose’ along with an incredible LIVE performance

For one night only celebrated musician Alvaro will be returning to West London to perform a live set for revellers at the Portobello Film Festival, along with a special screening of highlighting documentary Full Dedication Alvaro.


 


Full Dedication Alvaro, is a film portrait of the independent musician Alvaro Pefia-Rojas, also known as ‘The Chilean With The Singing Nose’. Alvaro who’s currently living in Germany once founded together with Joe Strummer (The Clash) The 101ers – one of the first punk bands in Great Britain. At the age of 65 he still is a musician by passion, he still is absolutely dedicated to his kind of music – without making any concessions towards the musical mainstream.


 


Other films being show on the evening include Notting Hill 1958 Riot Tour which previews 50 years of the London Caribbean Carnival. Punk Night promises to be an evening of screenings and performances not to be missed.
